Anyway, I'm Murray. I live in Nova Scotia (Canada Eh?) I've been interested in the market for a long time now, and I just recently got a job working for the Bank of New York so I took that as a sign that I should pursue my interest in this field. I'm one of those nerdy types who watched CNBC back in his teens. I'd come home from school and watch Closing Bell and stuff, so needless to say the ladies love me and I don't need a ton money to attract them. *sarcasm*

Anyway, I love watching Jim Cramer's Mad Money. I imagine there are a lot of anti Cramerites here, and if someone just follows his stock picks blindly I can see that angle, but he's also taught me some of the basics about stocks and made the whole thing seem a lot more fun. I think some of the most important things he does are to convince people to follow some basic rules like diversification and the whole "you don't have profits until you take them" thing, and doing homework on a stock instead of just listening to hype.

Anyway, I hope it'll be nice to meet you all and you enjoy my somewhat wacky sense of humor.

P.S. I really am a n00b, so please forgive my stupid questions and be patient with me, I'm a quick learner.

...and no worries, "wacky sense of humors" are allowed...I consider myself to be a pretty laid back whimsical dude myself...quite an impressive freak of nature as well....and one that has a sparkling set of chompers to boot...
