I joined yesterday to see what kind of chat actually goes in forums like these. It has been pretty interesting to say the least. There is a lot of wishing upon stars. Unfortunately, most of the stars are dying and will most likely result in a super nova.

Whatever happened to investing in PROFITABLE companies?? I have looked at over 2 dozen stocks mentioned in these forums and have yet to see one that is or has been making NET profits on a regular basis. Sure, there are a lot of promising ideas and technologies out there, but why try to seize the moment in non-proven ventures when you can seize the moment in truly valuable stocks?

I don't want to be a downer. I do want to encourage everyone to be a bit introspective about what they are really trying to accomplish by looking at companies with little or no profit, and none to be seen in the immediate future unless they greatly reduce their operating costs, debt, financing activities, etc.

In the coming weeks, I will be posting companies with real potential on the Global thread. They too may even be in the business of emerging technologies. I will even tell you how and where I obtained this information. You will be thankful, and instead of trading for a couple pennies (surely no way to become a millionaire), you will be surfing a stock mid to long term.

I am a fundamental investor, and I hope everyone will see that in the months to come.
