post what? i'm convinced that if you do like the cats and others have said and just take some profit when you can then you can roll just $500 into more than $1,000,000 in less than a year.
these will be actual trades and we'll see how i do. sometimes i'll give advance warning- but mostly i probably won't post until i'm out or on my way out. that way it's not like pumping my own plays which would invalidate the model, right?

the model is i'm setting aside just $500 to start. i'll be using quant (from me) and/or technical analysis (a lot from greencat's cd) to make these plays. sometimes i'll explain fully why i made each play and sometimes not because many of greencat's methods and mine are proprietary and just shouldn't be laid out for public view. the whole point is to show how do-able this $500 thing is...

okay- the next post will show my basic financial strategy.
btw, ANYBODY can belly up to the bar here and post a similar thing with $500 or $1000 to start and track their results for us to see. in fact, it's a good idea, as you'll see why in next post... in a few minutes...
$500 to $1000 is pretty easy right? Just buy one of the pennies. Wait for the next day for it to double from $0.03 to $0.06 then sell

dpim9 Simple sure always work not

Yes it is simple to pick a stock and let it double but it can also half or quarter or go bust in a matter of just hours or days. Once had a stock that had doubled and split and doubled and split taken from the penny section and during a six month period should have sold it three or four time for massive gains but my faith in the company was so strong did not sell. The end results was the President and CEO of the company took the money and ran to south American leaving me with more than 20 million pieces of scrap paper so yes it is pretty simple.

Lol. It's comments like this that crack me up. I used to think it was easy too...and then the pennies sucked money out of me like a fat kid in a milkshake factory.

If it were that easy, everybody would be trading stocks. The fact is, you need to spend a lot of time research companies, analyzing charts, and oh, there is that thing called luck which helps out once in a while

Luck

Yeah that is true forgot about that four letter word. Luck can come in the form of buying due to the charts and being correct as to timming or you just happen be be sitting at the computer and see your stock gap up and jump out. Or as in the case one really good one buying stocks in what you think is a good company and actually typing in the wrong symbol and accidently picking a high flyer. Now if only I could go to the store and pick up a can of luck I would be doing much better.

Hey, can you pick me up a can too Lol!

In all seriousness though, I'm still looking for a stock to play with my paper
trading account. I think I'm still looking for that perfect technical set-up,
but I have to realize, there isn't one.

There are no guarantees in this business. Who knows, maybe we're all crazy!

Out of GNTA into WEL

Please Post This Statement and These Rules with Updates! Thanks.
**********************************************
THE RULES- YES YOU CAN STILL JOIN
1. If you are just joining, your start date is the current date of your post, and you start at ZERO gain.
2. When posting your update, you MUST include in the post, or in separate post right after it, the stock symbol, entry/exit dates, and entry/exit prices, so ppl can check it. Otherwise your update will be deleted. Would be nice to hear the war story too.
3. You MUST make and report a ROUNDTRIP trade AT LEAST every two weeks. Otherwise, you aren't really in the Experiment and will be dropped and have to start over. Serious illness is an exception, but you must post this fact BEFORE the two weeks runs out. If you're posting elsewhere on the board then you're assumed to be well enough to do an Experiment trade.
