Speaking of your method, here's Boho's Tip of the Week:

when staring at the screen till it says buy or sell, make sure you're staring at the right chart/buying the right pair - nothing like staring at eur/usd thinking it's gbp/usd and then wondering why the chart is going in one direction while your balance is going in another

What a crazy night!!!
Even the live market commentary made comments such as
'Some mysterious price action here post data..It is Friday the 13th'
'Some of these moves undescribable for the short term trader'
'The superstitious trader should have known better and stayed home today on this Friday the 13th'
'Friday the 13th curse seems to be running rampant in this market.'
'We typically refer to the "brave man" as one who trades in the face of danger....Today's moves would make even the bravest of traders cower'
'EUR/CHF rise as ridiculous as any of the moves we've seen today'
'Some short term traders feel as if they've been sitting in an electric chair today...Weekend couldn't come soon enough for those folks'

Lots and lots of money to be made tonight... or lost.
It was too much for me, despite many writings on the wall, so I stayed out and watched - almost not regretting the potential money not made, definitely not regretting the nerves saved

(ps: despite the insanity and total weird responses to the PPI, Trade Balance and U of M CCI, tonight was a beautiful Fibonacci learning experience - nothing like watching it play out live to finally get it!)

okay. it's sunday afternoon... on 5-min chart significant eur/usd moves coming at (using ET)...
7:10-7:15, 7:25-7:30, 7:45-7:50, 8:30-8:35, 9:25-9:30

EDIT: these times are approximate, the earlier time denotes the "start" of a move, and sometimes that move is completed in that 5-min frame, or it may go on longer as a trend.

the start of the downward move was very slight at 7:10, then gained steadily in strength thru the 7:25-7:30 candle.

now struggling for reversal to redeem its wicked past, but i don't expect full swing on this til, as i said above, between 5:45 and 5:55 ....

EDIT: i mean between 7:45 and 7:55 (i'm on mountain time- sorry)
and btw, this move is threatening to be downward now, but i don't like shorting an uptrend and i don't like buying a downtrend. so i'm long on this -- and losing right now... directionality ("vector") is a problem with these methods and have to use TA or some extra quant to decide

the substantial move did not come until the end of the 8:00-8:05 candle (downward). so twice i've forecasted early by abt 7-10 minutes. so now i'll make that adjustment for the rest of the evening's trading
