Invest Ukraine

Consider this spam if you want but if anyone's looking to invest offshore the time is perfect to invest in Odessa Ukraine (the city of crooks). With Bushenko in office good things are bound to come to Ukraine as far as foreign investment is concerned. There has always been a LOT of talk about building up odessa to be a major tourist attraction as Crimea is over populated as it is and Ukraine would like to increase its tourist infrastructure to make the country more appealing to tourists.

Another interesting thing is that real estate prices in Kiev have spiraled out of control (rents have increased 50% in the past year and a half). And now all eyes are starting to shift towards Odessa so I think there is deffinitely a lot of potential there.

Also if anyone's into software development; Ukraine for the past several years has been building its IT sector and aims to increase its stake in the global market.

Oh and just to clear up a few misconceptions... Ukraine isn't a ****hole 3rd world country. There are plenty of rich people here as well as a huge consumer market. Also, Ukraine isn't like Brazil, all real estate that I have come across is legit, Just get a good lawyer and you'll be fine.

I am not exactly sure on the rates but I know here in Dnepropetrovsk which is slightly more expensive than Odessa at the current you can buy a 4 room (3 bedroom + living room) apartment for about 45 or 50k.

Now that the World Bank owns Ukraine, there should be plenty of opportunities here.

Another intersting thing is that banks here have 15% interest rates on savings accounts. Tie up 10 grand and thats 1500 a year... sure sounds like pennies but the money does add up and the risk of losing it is pretty close to zero.
