This time it didn't follow the same pattern.

Same with Yahoo, dam thing was set to outperform and all the media coverage then yesterday after it has been dropping steadily since the last earnings report also got a sell rating.

and we all know, TASR is TASR and no need to say more about it.

Guess I am a little frustrated now, specially since I just did the taxes and H&R block charged $300 because of all the trading I did. Going to pick up my return today, good news is I don't owe uncle sam but I don't get anything back either....

Hang in there! Sounds like your stock gods and my stock gods got together for lunch! I was into FRO, then it dropped like crazy, sold off to cut the losses, and doncha know>>it has started back up! Bought into AKS and LRT, they dropped, but, are starting to come around. Sometimes you just have to be patient, *or* cut your losses before they get worse. I think the pros on this list are best to advise on that for you!

which is what I am about to do with TASR, hell I was hoping it would come around but don't look good. Though I gained my losses back on RIMM, now what I am making with it is being offset with TASR because it is droping about the same pace RIMM is climbing.

We'll, got my loss back with RIMM and got the HLEL out!!!!

Microsoft released a breifing today that they are going to compete with RIMM. We all know Microsoft has a monopoly in anything they do. Soon as this article was released RIMM started to plunge.

Quote:
The other item this morning from Microsoft is the deal they announced with Symbian. Symbian is a British company that developed a popular mobile operating system and today agreed to license synchronization software from Microsoft in an effort to win more corporate customers. The software called ActiveSync enables Symbian-powered handhelds to wirelessly receive emails via network computers running Microsoft's Exchange Server software. Handheld maker Nokia, which is by far the largest seller of Symbian-powered devices, has already signed the same licensing deal with Microsoft.

This development is clearly in response to the impact that Research In Motion (RIMM) has made in the corporate environment. The Symbian/Microsoft technology is not a true push-email technology, but will still compete with RIMM's BlackBerry technology. The most formidable part of this deal is that there are 20 million Symbian devices in service today, a number far greater than the total number of BlackBerry's in service.

We'll, I told you all every stock I touch turns to SIHT

Finally sold of the TASR at half what I paid and decided to put it into AAPL which had been a steady climb now for a good year.

I waited till after the earnings report on wednesday and since it was good I bought 100 shares at $42, now look at it

I know, it was the sell off and all the stocks basically did the same thing and were probably heading back into a resesion but my buying into something was what triggered it

Ow. But don't get discouraged. I like Ahmad's suggestion if you want to consider it- pack your bags and c'mon down into pennyland awhile, though it sounds like your strategy is to be an "investor", which these days is a lot more dangerous than being a "trader". But I wouldn't throw big weight at any single stock- I've noticed the expert traders here get small parcels and scalp the devil out of 'em. They also mostly use TA, and sounds like you're a "fundamentalist", which is maybe not good for pennyland. And another thing- I'm a newbie, so what I say I don't even trust! Also, a small buy order footprint in pennyland is a "must", or you'll drive up the price against yourself. Might want to see Mr. Greencat's posts on this at this thread Hang in there, dude! You've got plenty of company- I'm gestucken and gescreamin right along with you, but learning to laugh about it while I learn to do better on this board.

Know I have not been around in a while but I held onto AAPL and I'm a good $400 in the green

Also held onto YHOO which I was down almost a grand at one time and someone here said "Never sell at a Loss" so, I held onto it also and now got my grand back and only down like $50 on it at the moment

With todays news on AAPL, I expect to make a killing

KNOCK ON WOOD!!!!!
