I made a couple taps and put them in our 2 big maple trees in the back yard today. After 2 hours I had about a gallon of sap to start cooking down.

I don't expect too much total yield but the kids and I are enjoying ourselves and my wife is completely baffled by the whole idea. ( So it must be fun )

The stuff I've got cooking is turning brown and starting to taste real good although it has a long way to cook.
