Talking -28 w/-40

can't really "picture" -40, but it's supposed to be good for the winter road. so I am in a way "happy" to hear about you guys freezing up there . just watch out for Mr. Cheney, I hear he is out on a polar bear hunt . protect your faces at least.

Oh well... I'll leave the message there for now if no one minds...

Just for some of the links in it for new passers-by!

If anyone's interested... I'll be taking some digital photos of stuff heading up to the mine from Yellowknife and can post links with the pictrails http links...
(I still have older photo's on the construction of Tahera's fuel tanks in the Giant Mine parking lot LAST winter, before they were hauled up to Jericho... again, if anyone's curious!)

We're freezing our butts off here! -28 w/-40 wind last night, and -30 tonight! (acutally that's almost 'above' normal!)

Have a great day!

Hey Cam,

I'd love to see some pics...I always wonder exactly which piece of equipment is mine (or more like which piece of the piece of equipment is mine...I imagine those trucks aren't cheap)!

Licinious, interesting report, makes you wonder how such a port/road would affect the viability of some of the "potential" projects in the north. It also shows why EAs take so long to complete...they really do look at a project from a lot of different angles.

Have a great day!

I read an inbox message on SH and it had imbedded HTML that gave someone access to my account on SH. (reading posts with HTML is okay... but they can imbed nasty stuff in inobxes!) They changed my email address and password, so I created nwtcam to the power or '2' until SH gets me access back..... So I'm waiting on SH to fix it....

I'll post some photo's here later.... took some last night of all the trucks being grouped to head up to the mines... not sure how they turned out...

Have a good one...

Smile Yellowknife / Jericho Photos

Sorry... haven't had a chance to move the photos from my camera yet...
But here's some local ones I took earlier this winter around YK...
(for anyone wondering what Yellowknife looks like, and where all the trucks start from, when heading up to the mines...)

And one 'special' one from a year ago at Jericho during construction...

Have a great night!

Thanks for taking the time to give us a look.
Been to Fort McM a few times but not any farther north.

Nortel seeks to combine shares

Globe & Mail

CATHERINE McLEAN
14:44 EST Thursday, Feb 16, 2006

Nortel Networks Corp. said on Thursday it plans to submit a special resolution at the upcoming annual general meeting that would give its board of directors the ability to consolidate its shares.

If shareholders approve and the board decides to proceed with the consolidation — also referred to as a reverse stock split — a set number of Nortel shares would be combined to create fewer shares at a higher price. The ratio of the consolidation was not disclosed.

Nortel is seeking shareholder approval for a range of potential consolidation ratios, the Brampton, Ont.-based company said its preliminary proxy circular.

The company believes a higher stock price would allow a wider range of institutional investors and investment funds to buy its stock.

Nortel shares slipped 3 cents to $3.36 in Toronto. The stock is down 11.5 per cent in the last 12 months and has shed 89 per cent of its value in the past five years.

Those 2 again.

Wymwood, please know that these two letters ( RS ) in that order, seem to follow me everywhere. I happen to have some Nortel.

Nwtcam, licinious, Diamond Girl. Indeed, very interesting reading, and images. Thanks for the links.

Question new member

hello fellow taherians, i have been reading your threads here for the last 6 months and have found them very interesting. i got into tahera last spring, and in november and again yesterday. i have told others about this stock but as yet know takers ( i'm not a salesman). BUT it was interesting a couple of weeks when i went to work, one of my fellow workers said his wife knows a worker at camp up north at a place called tahera. on monday this fellow worker told me his wife talked to this worker and it sounds like the same tahera that i invested in. the news up there is that some big wigs are going up north to take a look at what to do about production this week, it was said that a color diamond was found , bigger diamonds then that were first expected and that the workers up there are investing into the company as well. i know that some of this was talked about in the last thread but wanted to share this with you. i know this sounds like rumors or he she she said but maybe some out there can add more to this.this is not to bash or hype this stock but to get talkes happening again while we are waiting for new news releases. p.s. about the next up and coming does any know about dbl ????

hype

I have been raked over the coals for saying these same things before; but, yes I have heard similar stories as this myself. Higher counts, bigger diamonds; company knows more than they are saying IMO. Time will tell, company has been keeping the cards close to their chest; i'm thinking news will come and it will be in Gillins words "momentus" ... the company has definately been trying to keep the hype down..

D.
