Thumbs up

[quote=GolfDude]Tx. Chum,

really kind of you to answer my question.
i am sure most of you saw Peter Gillin's appearance on ROBTV. unfortunately he didn't say anything new or "captivating" . it seemed to me that he was really holding back. don't you think? even the reporter couln't start anything with him. he just wouldn't give any positive (or negative) news whatsoever. nor much re. future directions. I (for one) was a bit dissapointed with the outcome of his 5 minutes "of fame". i am not suggesting that you have to speculate or stuff, but he almost seemed "discouraging" potential investors
it seemed to me. oh well. maybe after production starts, he will get more excited about "his" mine .

cheers.

gd

Hey GD,
I have'nt been able to get on the site because my Zone alarm was preventing access to the site. I just figured this out so I have been a little absent lately and hence this thread (which had some potential) is starting to suck wind a little. I see diameister, the guy with the cat, yourself and others are still posting good stuff on the other thread so cheers to you all.

Easy to tell when there is much going on though because the same old Sh*te seems to cycle around and get rehashed by a newbie every other week or so (reverse split, ice roads conditions,). Makes you wish you could reach through the screen or something.....lol.
Anyway I've got nothing other than the processing plant is rumored to be commissioned at the end of the month. I am not sure if it's on the net anywhere yet but there seems to be a bunch of people at all the mines staying in touch with each other and passing it around. Hence, nothing will be a secret for too long . I will be calling my contact at Clark Builders next week so I'll let you know everything and anything at that time....

Take care
chum

Thumbs up ICE ROAD-Thought I'd put this on the 'new' thread...

Sorry... didn't notice the new thread before...
-----------------
For anyone still curious or concerned about the ice road...
(or seeing psychological game players (shorters) posting 'old' news and wondering!)

REMEMBER... **last year**, they got the WHOLE MINE, CAMP, PROCESSING PLANT and FUEL up, and the Ice Road was -2- Weeks LATE LAST YEAR!

Not sure if you're familiar with the NWT government site that daily tracks the gov't run Ice Roads and bridges... but here's the link to it... check out:
http://www.hwy.dot.gov.nt.ca/highways/
(if no one here has seen that yet!)

The ice road to the Diamond Mines is of course 'private with security patrols' and not reported here on that site, but as you can see from the RED load ratings down on this GNWT link page... all the other gov't ice roads around the diamond mine road have opened up JUST FINE ALREADY! - (a normal semi can drive accross about a 30K rating) Note: Most of the 'CLOSED' lines are the ferries, which of course are closed with that much ICE, and the corresponding Ice road is 'OPEN' with the exception of the MacKenzie-Providence crossing where they run the ferry 24x7 until the ice bridge can handle the semi traffic... therefore no delays) The only couple gov't ones not open yet, normally don't open until mid-late Feb anyway... as you can see by clicking the links to see the 'normal' dates!)

So everything is looking great and from the guys working material management at Diavik, looks like Feb 6-9 for loads going up.

Vans & 3/4 ton trucks are already driving up the ice road to stock and supply the 'truck stops' at Dome Lake, etc... please check it out... don't take my word for it blindly... read the links or make a phone call... always best to verify what others 'say' on these boards if you're investing your money! I know I'm heavy into Tahera, but it's in my 'back yard' so to speak, so I can see everything going on first hand!

Sure was great last week though to see the Sprott rep on RobTV talk about a upcoming $1.10 target for Tahera... I'm sure I'll be at least double that once the Muskox results come in (analysts always like to under-estimate on new producers to cover their butts)... anyone who follows diamonds though, knows FEW companies ever bulk sample... and they only do it when they KNOW they have a great find and need to put a $$ value on it... like Muskox!
Just my opinion! DYODD!

Have a GREAT weekend!

-NTC (Cam the 2nd here I guess!)

HI I am also a rookie at this. made some $ already.although the monies that cibc investors edge I think is very high.Is it a big deal to go to another broker??? also when you look at TAH daily trading chart, there are different colors for trades (ie,green, red blue) does anyone know what these mean.I also quit a very well paying job here in Calgary to go up to the Artic on a drilling rig that is being used for diamond core drilling. As soon as i get all my tickets that ahe required I'll be on my way. Like to keep close to where my wad is. I will take my lap top with me. Birds eye view yah might say!!! 7's is with TAH all the way & looking for more,as diamonds are rapidly becoming my best friend. Until next time then.

Hey... I'm with CIBC too.. they actually are the cheapest of the 5 major banks in Canada for trading... I think E-trade and some of the smaller ones may be cheaper, but I prefer to use the same bank I use for everything else (company acnt, chq acnt, Visa, loans, bills, etc...) as CIBC has an excellent web interface to move money between ANY of their products/accounts any time, all on your own...- you can even link in the kids acnts for moving money to/from and RRSPs, etc... very nice compared to the other's I've used...)
JMO...
CIBC also let's me put up some of my ASKs for Tahera at $6.95, and the other banks want to 'control' their clients more, and -USE- their clients shares for shorting, so they discourage higher ask orders... I know TD is really restrictive to their clients for example!

But glad to see you're coming North.... welcome... and remember things move a little slower up here! Like when the guy in front doesn't move when the light turns green... not a good idea to lay on the horn hard... since if it's not your boss, it'll be his wife or brother! (Fun of a smaller town!)

Chum... I'm in Yellowknife so I get to see everything moving through town! Like just today, I saw bags and bags of concrete coming in by semi, mustering for the new Diavik dyke, or Debeers Snap Lake mine...
There are literally 100's of loads being assembled up here already for the ice road... and you can ALREADY actually drive a van or truck up the ice road right now (a friend has been taking loads of food via van up to the truck stop at Dome Lake already for example)
The NunaLogistics (ice road builders) dispatch station is right at the highway intersection by the YK airport, so it gets pretty interesting watching all the loads going by once things go into full swing here in a couple weeks!
they dispatch 3 or 4 semis every 15-20 minutes to ensure they're spaced apart on the ice...
Anyway...
Have a great week! Tahera should be ready to run for $1 pretty quick here IMO... the day players are running out of 'tradeable' shares, since more people are realizing the potential and holding on tight!
Of course I plan on holding until all the dollar values are put on Muskox, JD-03, Bird Lake, Anuri, and a few other their others too... at which point IMO we should be well over $5/sh...
1st 100% 'publically' owned 'non-blood diamond' mine... that should bring in a premium too IMO! (since the diamonds already get 20% more!)

Have a good one...

-NTC

no. of shares

Hi guys,
this is my first time posting here and i've been following tahera for a while now and want to get in the action before its too late.
What are your opinion on the fact that the cap market is almost at 570 million, with over 710 million shares. There are TONS of shares in the market and the company can only grow so big. Would this be of concern if I want to buy some stocks now?
Thanks

Welcome Quiet Watcher,

You'll have better luck with a response posting on the main "tahera diamonds" thread...for some reason this one never really took off.

Have a great day!

I'm guessing that this didn't take off because of the amount of information/links in the other one. If we don't keep the other one current, all of that stuff will eventually disappear and be lost. Kind of a catch 22 - because the other thread is pretty unweildy. If there is someone around with a lot of time, maybe going through the old thread and cutting/pasting the links into this one would be of benefit?

777 haul truck tires

i believe these are the largest trucks nuna is using and they had 47 -2700r49 tires in stock as of nov.05.they should be ok till they get their alotment at the end of march(for 2006).they also had about a dozen 992 loader tires so no problem in that regard.

1st Quarter results

The 1st Quarter results will be a big event because it will be the first time that TAH will have generated an income. I also believe that the company will make several smaller annoucements in regards to the full operation of the mine, amount and quality of diamonds coming out of the ground. And maybe some news on their winter exploration program. The use of the winter road will be pretty much finished and we will find out if they got everything they needed.
So "yes", I don't expect any big numbers for the 1st quarter but something is a whole lot better than the nothing that they have reported for the last many years. And IMHO I am also hoping for some other good news as well.
Heloman

"... sure hope not everyone puts a lot of stock in the Q1 earnings (unless they're really great) because after all... the company hadn't even predicted having saleable diamonds and earnings until Q2!

It was just because of a very experienced crew (all from Diavik and Ekati) and a lot of hard work, that they were able to start producing a batch of 'saleable' diamonds by early/mid-Q1...
So it will *NOT* be BY FAR a true representation of a 'normal' quarter... I would suggest maybe we'll see 10-15% tops in Q1 of what the 'norm' will be after full swing! "

Question

I don’t know Heloman,
This company for sure didn’t spoil us with an abundance of news so far, nor do I suspect that they will change that “policy” any time soon! Is it smart on their part? Who knows. The market will be the judge. But in my view they could every so often “throw a little bone” for the otherwise very patient investors as you are suggesting it too. I – for one - am often frustrated that they sort of keep the little guy “in the dark”. Like what would be so terrible about an announcement stating that the winter road and delivery is on track, the mine produced the first batch of saleable diamonds (even if they don’t give out details for quantities and sizes). Perhaps I am wrong, but I could use some “spirit lifting” bit of info like every 2-3 months. But then again, I never started a public diamond mining company before . So maybe they know better what news to release and when to release it to build anticipation, momentum, hype (?)…

Hello everyone: New user here, with a huge interest (although just a small financial one) in Tahera. I see that Catfish has closed down the board and directed us to a new one. Probably a dumb question, but where is the new one? I'll go into withdrawal if I can't find it. Cheers, all.

Few news releases...

I don't think I accurately conveyed what I meant. There will be little or no news until the 1st quarter results. At which time they will piggy-back other news. Thus making the 1st quarter news release a big event. The small amount generated in income won't be the big news, the fact that they are generating income will be, along with some other good news I hope.
